Neal and Judy Ibbotson have been viticulture pioneers in Marlborough now with more than 30 years of viticulture knowledge of the region. They originally supplied grapes to local wine companies; however,they wanted to showcase the quality they had achieved in their vineyards through to the finished wine as well. Their first vintage was 1994, whose wines all won medals. The company is a family business with the next generation also involved.
The award winning Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc is rounded, supple and light-bodied with medium plus acidity. Grapefruit, lemon, green apple, passion fruit, gooseberry, grass, and minerals burst across the palate. Pair with chicken scallopini, shellfish or garden-fresh grilled zucchini.
