The opening inhalations detect charred beef, charcoal and butterscotch; later sniffings dredge up black tea leaves, burning electrical wire, and dark caramel—not the honeyed, bacon fat Sherry-a-thon that one would expect. Palate entry is moderately honeyed and waxy; by midpalate the taste turns mildly buttery and nougat-like. Concludes sweet and concentrated.
