Aromatically the wine is perfumed with a combination of cherries and blueberries, as well as delicately aged purple flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with brambly berry fruits, peppercorns, and smooth tannins.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has quite an expressive nose, with black cherries, fresh fig and light licorice scents gradually emerging—though its 50% new oak is quite vocal. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, finely balanced with (again) the new oak shaping the mid-palate and finish. There is a good Aux Brûlées here, though you'll have to wait for the oak to be assimilated.
