The fourth release of the Booker’s® Bourbon 2021 Collection is Booker’s® Batch 2021-04 “Noe Strangers Batch.’” In 1987, Booker Noe, Jim Beam’s Grandson and Master Distiller, introduced his own signature bourbon, Booker's® True Barrel Bourbon. Inspired by a 200-year-old tradition of sipping whiskey straight-from-the-barrel, Booker's Bourbon was created as the ultimate holiday gift for Booker's special friends. Fred Noe, son of Booker Noe, distiller of Beam Bourbons, and great-grandson of the legendary Jim Beam, personally samples each barrel of Booker's Bourbon and decides when it's ready. An appetizing nose of cherry pie, raspberry sorbet, and a sweet citrusy note of lemon meringue pie, along with hints of grapefruit, orange oil, and oak. The palate is almost overpowering, but does offer blueberry pie, quince, allspice, brown sugar, chocolate, banana, and spice. This is a hot and muscular whiskey, so water is definitely recommended. Overall, it’s a big, earthy, oak-laden expression with age, spice, and flavor.
